"View at your own risk," a local television show produced by City College and UCSB students will be competing in the Western Access Video Excellence Awards in Colorado later this month.
The show was chosen as a finalist as, 'Best community talk show that deals with issues,' for their hour-long episode concerning medical marijuana and the City of Santa Barbara.
"The fact that people watched [the episode] and called in with instrumental comments means a lot," said Jamario Smith, a host for that particular episode. "I'm just proud to be a part of it."
Crew members of "View at your own risk," are first-time finalists for the Excellence Awards and submitted three other episodes for review.
The Channels' own Oscar Gutierrez is the shows producer.
Winners will be announced on Oct. 24 in conjunction with the fall regional conference held in Colorado.
